Earlier this year, we at CYCLE were delighted to receive a grant from the Investitionsbank Berlin (IBB), specifically from the fund responsible for the improvement of regional economic structure. The 7-figure grant will allow us to continue furthering our mission to enable efficient, affordable and eco-friendly last-mile delivery, and contribute towards cleaner, greener urban areas.
The investment from IBB and Berlin Partner für Wirtschaft und Technologie is a clear indicator that the city of Berlin shares our vision and that our work aligns with the city’s objectives to promote sustainable last-mile delivery and reduce our emissions. By promoting the growth of a full-service E-Bike provider like CYCLE, more delivery journeys traditionally made by combustion-engine vehicles can be carried out by E-Bikes. This contributes not only towards reducing emissions related to the transportation industry, but also reduces pollution, traffic and congestion, and helps to create more liveable cities.
With the funds from this grant, we can continue to sustainably expand, innovate and improve our operations in Berlin, focusing on new vehicle types and gaining customers in new sectors who are also looking to transform their last-mile delivery processes by implementing fleets of E-Bikes. Our full-service subscriptions mean customers don’t need to worry about repairs and maintenance, and always have full visibility of their fleet with our customised fleet management and damage-reporting software, making the switch to E-Bikes smooth and easy.
We are very grateful to both IBB and Berlin Partner for this grant and for their belief in CYCLE and everything we do to contribute towards lower emissions in the last-mile delivery sector, and look forward to using these funds to continue making a meaningful impact in the city of Berlin.
